TERRORISM FIRST RESPONSE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SUPERVISORS AND MANAGERS WITH TRAIN THE TRAINER

***This Course Is Designed to Be Brought to Your Facility And Taught on Your Schedule. THIS COURSE HAS TWO SEPARATE CLASSES AVAILABLE***


The first course presented is a 2-Day class on how Local Law Enforcement First Responding Supervisors and Managers should respond to a Terrorist Act.

The second course is designed as a 1-Day "Train The Trainer" course to give the student all of the material and instructional assistance to take the two day class back to their Agency and teach it in a variety of time formats.


The prerequisite for attending the one-day "Train The Trainers" class is attendance at one of the two-day First Response courses. Tuition for the 2-Day class will be $142 and tuition for the 1-Day Train The Trainer class will be $60. Total Tuition for both classes will be $202. Both classes are POST Plan III, and a separate Training Reimbursement Request (POST form 2-273) is required for each class.

There is a strong likelihood of California continuing to be a target of terrorists. The initial response and management of these incidents will fall to the patrol first responders. These classes are designed to provide Patrol Supervisors and Managers with a comprehensive plan to handle these events and to reduce injury and property destruction through a rapid and coordinated law enforcement response.

- Comprehensive Review Of The Critical Incident Response Plan For First Responders.

Case studies will be reviewed for each of the points to the Critical Incident Response Plan, and recent terrorist incidents will be discussed in the context of using this plan to manage the first response to a Terrorist Incident. Group exercises will be conducted to give the students a chance to utilize the response plan.
