Jeffrey H. Solomon, Corporal, California State University Police Department, and Chief of the School’s Division of D-Prep, LLC.
Jeff Solomon has an extensive background in the complex field of public safety in the school environment. He has worked with the 30,000 student Grant School District Police Department for eight years, seven of which he has served as the Chief of Police.
He has also worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Placer County Sheriffï¿½s Department, and for several community colleges in various law enforcement related positions. He is currently the Training Manager for the California State University Police Department at the Sacramento campus.
Jeff was responsible for implementing the School Resource Officer program within the Grant School District, and he is the creator of \\\\\\\”Trek to Success\\\\\\\”, a youth team building and mentoring outdoors program. Jeff Solomon has a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice Management and is currently completing a Masters degree in Organizational Leadership.
He is a graduate of Harvardï¿½s Kennedy School of Government, Senior Management Institute for Police along with the LAPDï¿½s West Point Leadership program. In 2002 he was named the Law Enforcement Administrator of the Year by the California School Resource Officerï¿½s Association, and in 1998 he received a Meritorious Commendation Award for Life Saving with the Grant School District Police Department.
As the Chief of the Schools Division he is responsible for all of the School Site Safety Programs, the School Security Officer Training, the Critical Issues in Campus Safety Training and a host of other instructional courses.
Jeff is married with a nine year old daughter.
